This corporate winter party celebrated a major milestone—marking the company’s 40th anniversary—with a high-energy, employee-appreciation event designed to feel equal parts nostalgic and elevated.

The Tubular 80’s-theme came to life through immersive décor, throwback food and cocktails, interactive experiences, a black-and-white checkered dance floor paired with a sleek white DJ setup, and the company’s signature Gift Walk—each element nodding to the era in a bold, playful way. With charity raffles benefiting Pet Haven and Alexandra House and guests fully embracing the theme in head-to-toe 80’s looks, the night felt like stepping back in time to 1985—whether dancing or just soaking it all in.

My Role

Led full-service event planning, direction, and logistics from concept through execution for a large-scale corporate anniversary celebration.
Translated the Tubular 80s theme into an immersive, interactive experience through creative programming, guest engagement strategies, and nostalgic design moments.
Managed vendor communication and coordination throughout planning and event day, ensuring on-time arrivals, seamless setup, scheduled presentations, and efficient teardown.
Directed on-site teams across multiple event zones, overseeing guest flow, check-in operations, interactive stations, and timeline management to keep programming and presentations on schedule.
Executed detailed guest experience logistics including the Gift Walk process, DJ coordination, crowd management, raffle operations, and full event teardown and storage coordination with the venue.

This event required orchestrating multiple vendor teams in a single-day build, transforming several distinct spaces at the venue—from the main reception and check-in hallway to a fully reimagined PGA hallway turned immersive 80s arcade with playable games, gift vendors, and layered décor. Large-scale installations including draping, a custom backdrop, checkerboard dance floor, DJ, photo booth, and arcade builds had to come together simultaneously while our team styled tables, signage, poster walls, raffles, and interactive moments.

With guests known to arrive early and multiple rooms needing intentional flow to avoid bottlenecks, the challenge was executing a complex, multi-room experience that felt seamless, immersive, and unmistakably fun from the moment guests walked in.

Through proactive communication, hands-on event direction, and real-time problem solving, the event unfolded seamlessly—from check-in and programming to the Gift Walk and final teardown—delivering a high-impact, nostalgia-driven experience that felt effortless for guests and intentional for the client.

The immersive 80s design landed in a big way—guests fully embraced the theme, dressed to impress, and delighted in every detail from wall posters and candy to playful throwback accessories they couldn’t resist taking home. With seamless flow between spaces and thoughtful logistics throughout the night, the event felt effortless for guests and stress-free for the company owners, who were able to stay present and enjoy the celebration alongside their team.

The result was a milestone anniversary that moved flawlessly from concept to reality, proving that the 80s vision didn’t just inspire the design—it powered the entire experience.
